Oh, I'm Doing This!

I've been a buyer and planner in retail for my whole adult life, and I love it!  I went from Urban Outfitters to Neiman Marcus to Crate and Barrel and I'm currently at Cooper's Hawk Restaurant & Winery where I can combine my love of retail with wine.  No brainer!  While I love my work, I've found that I always gravitated towards doing something else on the side, whether it be bartending for extra cash, fostering dogs, doing some sort of home project or most recently, making candles. 

I'm so inspired by the women that I see daily, hustling to make life happen but also making time for their passions.  I have a friend, Hannah that has a candle business (Near and Native) and she's definitely inspired me with her bravery to start a new business venture.  However, I'm still totally a coward and will be keeping my day job!  I alsp sell candles to three beautiful women that have curated an amazing website (Ancestral Home) that honors their heritage, and I'm so proud to join the list of their makers that work to make beautiful things for their business.  

This summer, I was working with my friend Kendall on candles for her company, Cabana Club.  If you haven't already, you should follow her on Instagram (shop_cabanaclub).  And we started discussing a website for her awesome things, so I kinda dove in and realized that I loved curating a website.  On top of that, I had a few people asking how they can easily get their candles refilled.  So this felt like a cool approach, with a lowish risk if I fail miserably. 

So I present to you VidaVerde.us.  A site that will constantly be evolving as I learn and grow.  A place that is not professionally done or put together...but hey, that's just like me and my vida!
